"The Host"

I just finished reading Stephenie Meyer's new book, The Host. It is funny, for the past week, all I have wanted to do was read, see what happens next, get to the end. Now that I am finished, I am so sad. Where's the next book, Stephenie??? I was worried about this one a little because it is "sci-fi" or whatever, but if you read it you will fall in love with the people and places and experiences just like you love Bella, Edward, Forks, etc. I don't know that I can say I liked it better than the Twilight books, but I really enjoyed reading it. It is making me think even now about the characters and situations she brought to life. I think I will enjoy going back and reading it again, slower this time, understanding more. It really makes you think. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Way to go Stephenie!!! What a talented lady, Twilight was the first book she wrote, and now with The Host, you can see she has so much depth as a storyteller. The ideas in this ladies head, oh my goodness! Even if you are skeptical, you have another two months before Breaking Dawn comes out- might as well try it!

I am so excited. I was able to get music on without much help. I am soooo smart! :) If you know me well, you know that I love music- not singing or playing anything, but listening. My friend Kristi and I go to as many country concerts we can fit in (meaning afford) each year. We have seen Tim and Faith, Miley/Hannah (with our tweens in tow), Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, and lots more in just the past two years. It is good fun. I have definitely included my top faves in my playlist. I could just listen to Colbie all day-- I am actually afraid I am going to get sick of her, but so far I haven't!

Speaking about music, I am so addicted to American Idol this year! Since they were narrowed down to 24, I picked my top six, and three of them remain, although Syesha was at the bottom of that list. My list was David A., David C., Brooke, Carly, Michael and Syesha, kinda in that order. I was so happy that Brooke made it as far as she did. She was so likeable and has a unique voice. I am even happier, though, that Jason is FINALLY gone!!! I will be watching tonight for sure.

Wow... it was so easy to set this up. I have a few friends that blog, so I decided 'what the heck'. So, hello Jessica, now I am the person you thought would have one. HaHa. I am excited to try this out if only for myself and something to do, because I never have enough to do.. haha again. Since I have no more to say at this time, I guess.. wish me luck!
